EUROVISION 2011 - IRELAND
Ireland's critical financial situation can only be explained by the fact that they must have blown their entire IMF loan on this years Eurovision entry! This year the one and only Jedward will be representing the Emerald Isle.
OK, they can't sing and the song will never be listed among the classics of Eurovision, but you've just got to love it and it must stand a chance of doing really well (or really badly), but we love it!!!

ITV PERSPECTIVES ADVERT
Just seen the advert for the ITV Perspectives series featuring Andrew Lloyd Webber. The backing track is an amazing almost haunting piece of music.
The track is called "Intro" and it's by XX, an English Indie rock band, the track is from their debut studio album.
Here's the track...
The XX - Intro
And if like me you keep wanting to hear it again and again, just add replay in front of the youtube.com in the url to replay the song (over and over again). It really works!
Here's a bit more about the band:
Atmospheric English indie pop group the xx formed in London in 2008 around the talents of Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, Baria Qureshi, and Jamie Smith, when the bandmembers were still in high school. Captivating and cool, the group cites influences that run the gamut from R&B (Aaliyah and Rihanna) to classic alternative rock (the Cure and the Pixies). Built around the duel vocals of Croft and Sim, the group's signature brand of moody, soulful indie rock first appeared on the public radar in early 2009 with the single "Crystalised," which created a huge buzz among critics and fans alike. The xx released their self-titled debut LP in July of that year in the U.K.; it was released in the U.S. the following month. Late that year, Qureshi was no longer part of the group; the rest of the xx released a statement via NME saying this was due to "personal differences." During 2010, the live dates only continued, including spots at several high-profile summer festivals, and in September, their album won Britain's coveted Mercury Prize. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi

BLUE - UK EUROVISION CATASTROPHE!
A day of mourning has been announced in the UK following the tragic news that former boy band Blue will be representing the UK in this years Eurovision Song Contest in Germany later this year.
The BBC announced the tragic news earlier this evening. David Cameron and George Osborne have cut short their visit to the Davos economic forum and are considering entering themselves as they believe they can do a better job.
Downing Street have confirmed that due to the selection of Blue, Eurovsion 2011 has been cancelled and May 14th will instead be a day of national mourning.
Sky News reporter (right wing rebel) Kay Burley has reported, "everyone's looking very blue following the news".
A spokeman for the band said, "the boys have never heard of Eurovison but frankly they'd do anything for fame".
At this point we'd normally post one of our favourite videos from the bands back catalogue, but in this case we don't have any.
