ALEXANDRA WINS X-FACTOR 2008!

Hurrah! In a victory for talent over crap, Alexandra Burke (the official Popplastic finalist) has won X-Factor 2008!!!

Alexandra Burke the 20 year old North Londoner mentored by Cheryl Cole became the 5th X-Factor winner in one of the closest ever finals.

Alexandra has waited a long time for this moment, she nearly made it through to the competitive stages of X Factor in 2005, but Louis Walsh turned her down, saying she was too young.

Alexandra will now release a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, a sure fire Christmas Number 1!

Well as long as it's not Eoghan (The Munchkin) Quigg we don't mind!!!

Popplastic are campaigning for an "Alexandra" victory on Saturday nights X-Factor final! We've been supporting Alexandra since Austin's shock exit and can sense victory in the air! We'd be quite happy with a win for JLS just so long as the Munchkin doesn't win!

All the contestants are singing one Christmas-themed song tomorrow night.

Alexandra will sing Silent Night

JLS either Oh Holy Night or Last Christmas

Eoghan will sing I wish it could be Christmas every day.

All three finalists will also perform a duet on the live final, Alexandra Burke will sing with Westlife, JLS and Eoghan Quigg will team up with Rihanna and Boyzone respectively.

All three acts have already recorded the song - a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah - so it can be on shop shelves as soon as possible.

It has been announced that all three acts have already recorded the song - a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah - so it can be on shop shelves as soon as possible.

According to Simon Cowell, 500,000 pre-orders have already been placed for the single.

RYANAIR SONG!

For those of you who have endured and survived a Ryanair flight perhaps the most traumatising part of the entire experience has to be the in-flight music.

To add insult to injury Ryanair have teamed up with a fictional all singing, all dancing superhero fly called Mr. Superfly and between them they're hoping his debut single The Buzz, (inspired by the annoying in-flight music), reaches number 1 in the charts.

Paddy Power are tipping Mr. Superfly and The Buzz to go straight to the top of the UK charts. The single is released on Monday 10th November.

It's also a favourite to be this years Christmas number 1.

Kerry Katona is apparently set to make a singing comeback as the UK's answer to Dolly Parton.

The former Kitten, who has confessed she cannot sing, (and promised on her recent This Morning interview that she wouldn't do it to her fans) is going to Nashville to work on a country music relaunch for her career.

Yes apparently MTV love Kerry so much, they just can't get enough of her antics and have decided it's time Kerry had a bit of fun!

Popjustice have reported the first casualty of the economic malaise that has gripped the world.

It is with sadness in our hearts that we bring you news of the demise of ...... Billiam.

But Billiam are not gone, they will live on in our hearts, AND in the case of PopPlastic they will live on in our Ipods. Well one track will at any rate. Billiam leave behind a musical legacy, a legacy know to millions simply as ... Boyz Text Girlz. Perhaps one of the greatest pieces of music ever written (that afternoon). To be fair we love it!

KERRY KATONA ON THIS MORNING!

Popplastic's favourite kitten (Atomic) appeared out of control on ITV's This Morning.

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona shocked viewers today after she made an erratic appearance live on This Morning.

The reality television star, who has previously battled drug addiction, slurred her way through an interview with Fern Britton and Philip Schofield.

The presenters were clearly worried about her state and told her they had been contacted by viewers during her interview expressing concern.

Philip said: 'You don't seem right to me. You've got the body sorted but your speech is a bit slurred. How are you feeling?'

A surprised Kerry glanced off camera and asked: 'Is it? That's probably because I'm on medication at night-time, which I took at half past 11 last night, didn't I Mark?

'I was on a TV show last night. I wasn't talking like this yesterday, probably because it's early in the morning. I've got it with me - it's 150mg of Propiomazine.

She continued: 'Now this is going to be made into a huge, big publicity thing. I'm absolutely fine, all it is is my medication, I swear to God, I'm absolutely fine. I literally just got here. I'm fine, never been happier, I swear to God.'

BLUE PETER is celebrating it's 50th anniversary, but in true Blue Peter style whole chunks of their history have been air brushed from history.

BP portrays itself as a family, but what kind of family dumps its members and treats them like social pariahs, offering them no chance of rehabilitation or redemption.

Biddie (Bitchy) Baxter sacked 1980's presenter Michael Sunden believing that he might be gay. Not even Michael's death in the late 80's of an Aids related illness was enough to bring him back into the fold, it's as if he never existed.

Then of course there was the Richard Bacon incident. Richard's invitation to the 50th anniversary celebrations must have been lost in the post!
